EXCELLENCE IN THE CLASS OF 2022

During the Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2022, excellence was recognized through different awards. We are proud to share the accomplishments of our students with the Village family.

1.Presidential Award for Academic Excellence

This award recognizes academic success in the classroom. To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements: (1) A cumulative (9th – 12th grade) GPA equal to or greater than 

3.5  and (2) High achievement (90th percentile or above) in reading or math on MAP tests throughout high school (9th – 12th).

2. Valedictorian

The Valedictorian recognition is awarded to the student with the highest accumulated GPA throughout High School.

3. Salutatorian

The Salutatorian distinction is awarded to the student with the second-best accumulated GPA throughout High School.

4. Academic Excellence   

Summa Cum Laude – An accumulated GPA throughout HS equal to or greater than 3.9.

Magna Cum Laude – An accumulated GPA throughout HS equal to or greater than 3.7 but lower than    3.9. 

Mariloli Viera Munive

Cum Laude – An accumulated GPA throughout HS equal to or greater than 3.5 but lower than 3.7.

5. Athletic Excellence: 

Awarded to those students who have demonstrated excellence in physical fitness, who are self-disciplined, skillful, committed, punctual, competitive, physically fit, and attended practice regularly.

6. Human Values Excellence: 

Awarded to the student who has demonstrated excellence in the following qualities: respect, solidarity, conciliation, caring for others’ rights and belongings as well his or her own, and is sensitive to others’ needs.

7. Leadership: 

Awarded to the senior how stood out due to his/her persuasive skills to encourage and support his classmates to reach individual and group goals.
